• The Marketing Demonstration Activities of Chongqing Hot Spring Tourism were Implemented in Beibei Successfully

    In November 2019, during the The Second International Symposium on Hydrotherapy and Climatotherapy Tourism of China, Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development awarded Beibei District "Chongqing Hot Spring and Wellness Tourism Marketing Demonstration Zone". According to the arrangement, Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development will allocate part of the special funds for "the card of hot springs", and award the hot spring enterprises which develop the hot springs and wellness products in Beibei through the way of "award instead of allowance".

          After awarding, entrusted by Hot Spring Industry Office, Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development and Beibei Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development, APIHC undertook the specific implementation of the marketing demonstration, including prodcuts R&D, audit and approval of award declarations, etc. According to the characteristics of Beibei's resources and the realities of the enterprises, there were nearly 20 kinds of different wellness prodcuts participating in the declaration. Despite the impact of Covid-19, nearly 2000 hot springs and wellness products participating in the declaration were still sold, and the direct sales amount is nearly 2 million yuan, which stimulated consumption nearly 10 million yuan. The enterprises received a total of demonstration awards nearly 200,000 yuan.

          At present, the marketing demonstration of the first quarter have been publicized, and Beibei Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development will award the enterprises  gradually. Next, APIHC will carry out award audit from April to June and products declaration from July to September, combining the experiences from January to March. Meanwhile, APIHC will organize 600 kinds of Chongqing hot springs and wellness products and more than 100 tourist routes themed on hot springs. Upon affirming by Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development, the implementation scope of the marketing demonstration will be appropriately expanded.
